Magenta Research Launches Prosumer Line
of UTP Extension Products
New Milford, CT, March 30, 2009 – Magenta Research, a recognized leader in video, audio and control signal distribution and switching over Cat5/CatX cable and optical fiber, has announced the launch of Cyan by Magenta, a new series of UTP signal extension products aimed at the prosumer market.
Powered by technology derived directly from Magenta’s commercial AV extension products, Cyan by Magenta products are designed for applications with shorter distance requirements and smaller distribution footprints. A wide range of analog and digital solutions are available.

The Cyan by Magenta product range is comprised of the following products:
Cyan HDMI – Extends HDMI video and audio using (2) Cat6 cables, 1080p to 75 feet and 1080i/720p to 150 feet.
Cyan RGBHV – Extends 1600x1200 resolution computer video to 250 feet over a single UTP cable. Power required on transmitter end only.
Cyan YUV – Extends 1080p component video to 333 feet over a single UTP cable. Power required on transmitter end only.
Cyan Stereo – Extends stereo audio to 2,000 feet on a single UTP cable. Passive device; no power required.
Cyan DVI – 1x4 DVI transmitter to extend DVI video over a single Cat6. 1080p to 75 feet and 1080i/720p to 150 feet. Cascade two transmitters for distribution to up to 8 displays. Each output of the transmitter feeds a Cyan HDMI receiver (sold separately and includes a DVI- HDMI adapter cable).
All products are sold as kits in a Cyan-branded box and feature (when applicable) universal power supplies with interchangeable plug kits for use in the US/UK/EU/AU.
